Download Ledger Live

Visit the Official Ledger Website

Navigate to the official Ledger download page:

Select Your Operating System

Choose the appropriate version for your computer:

  • Windows: Download the .exe installer
  • macOS: Download the .dmg file

Save the Installer

Click the download button and save the file to your Downloads folder or preferred location.

Installation Instructions

Windows Installation

Run the Installer

Locate the downloaded .exe file and double-click to run it.

Grant Administrator Permission

Click "Yes" when prompted by User Account Control.

Follow Installation Wizard

Click "Next" through the installation wizard. The default settings are recommended.

Complete Installation

Click "Finish" when installation completes.

Choose Your Device

Select your Ledger device model (Nano X, Nano S Plus, Nano S, or Stax).

Connect Your Device

Connect your Ledger device via USB and enter your PIN.

Adding Cryptocurrency Accounts

Access Accounts Menu

Click "Accounts" in the sidebar, then click "+ Add account".

Select Cryptocurrency

Choose the cryptocurrency you want to add.

Install App on Device

Install the cryptocurrency app on your Ledger device.

Calculate Hash of Downloaded File

Use the following commands based on your operating system:

Windows (PowerShell):

Get-FileHash .\ledger-live-desktop-*.exe -Algorithm SHA256

macOS / Linux:

shasum -a 256 ledger-live-desktop-*

Compare the Hashes

Compare the hash from your calculation with the official hash from Ledger's website. They must match exactly.

✓ Hashes Match

Your download is authentic and safe to install.

✗ Hashes Don't Match

DO NOT INSTALL. Delete the file and download again.
